$900 sponsors 1 woman in Espwa Vivan
A lack of access to education, job training, and opportunities, can create significant obstacles for Haitian women, especially single mothers and widows. All too often, these women find themselves living at the mercy of those that would use, abuse, and mistreat them. This is a horrifying problem all over the country, but is magnified in high population areas where options and jobs are even more limited. The Women’s Entrepreneur Program is focused on training and empowering women, especially widows and single-mothers, to create self-sustainable modes of income.
In 2019, Espwa Vivan (pronounced: eh-spwah vee-vah or Living Hope in English) was launched. This program is training and empowering vulnerable women, especially widows and single-mothers, to create self-sustainable modes of income. Espwa Vivan is a 9-month training program empowering women with educational instruction, marketable job skills, and entrepreneurial coaching. Each participant is assigned a mentor to disciple, guide and encourage them throughout the program. Upon graduation, the women are equipped with the necessary tools to launch successfully into a job or to create a new small business.
To date, 188 women have completed the program and we are pleased to report that they are ALL seeing success in their small business start-ups. Our sixth class is currently underway, with graduation scheduled for August 2025.
Espwa Vivan is bringing life changing training to these women. We believe that through this vital and life-giving program, many women will find a new purpose and a sustainable future.
Our goal is to launch 300 self-sustainable female entrepreneurs, bringing change to their communities and hope to future generations.
Bring purpose and hope to a woman today.
